PIABA Honors Jason Burge with Outstanding Service Award

Fishman Haygood partner Jason Burge was presented the Outstanding Service Award at the Public Investors Advocate Bar Association’s (“PIABA”) Annual Meeting and Securities Law Seminar on October 26, 2023.

The award is given “in recognition of outstanding service and significant contribution to the Association while advancing its mission,” according to the organization. PIABA is an international bar association whose members represent investors in disputes in the securities industry.

During this year’s conference, Burge presented on “The Ethics of Artificial Intelligence for Lawyers.” Burge also serves as the editor in chief of the PIABA Bar Journal, which publishes three volumes annually on topics relevant to investor attorneys.

Burge has more than 16 years of experience recovering funds for victims of financial misconduct in single plaintiff, mass action, and class action cases against banks, loan servicers, stockbrokers, and investment firms. He routinely represents individual and institutional investors and borrowers in securities fraud and lender liability cases in state court, federal court, and bankruptcy court, as well as various arbitral forums including FINRA, AAA, and JAMS.
